Mentoring Curriculum and Instructional Leaders in Kansas

KASCD (Kansas Association for Supervision and Curriculum) is excited to announce some new initiatives this year.  The first is to provide KS curriculum and instructional leaders mentoring and a platform for collaboration and networking!  You can choose from one of two tiers to meet your individual needs as a leader.  These trainings are for anyone who has curriculum and instructional roles within his/her district (principals, asst. supt., instructional coaches, curriculum or instructional directors, etc…) Join us for networking or join us for support – or both!

Mentoring/Networking Curriculum and Instructional Leaders in Kansas:
Two Tiers -

Tier 1($200) - Three in person/virtual workshops (Sept.24, Nov. 5, and Jan. 28), a one-year membership to KASCD, a monthly checklist of items, access to Torsh Community Forum (networking tool for collaborating and sharing information), and a completion certificate with an end of the year celebration!

Tier 2 ($400) – This Tier includes everything in Tier 1 with a deeper layer of individualized support.  Each leader that registers for Tier 2 will get 8 individual mentoring sessions provided by an experienced KS curriculum and instructional leader.  These individualized sessions will be 30 minutes to an hour in length to help support specific topics chosen by the mentee in collaboration with their mentor.

Our kickoff for networking and mentoring will be Sept. 24th in Topeka at the KASB building, 1420 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.  Josh Snyder, Seaman Middle School Principal and KASCD President will facilitate our first session.  Due to COVID (AT THIS TIME) there will be a 50 person physical limit.  But wait—we have a virtual option!  You can choose virtual or in person until we meet capacity and then all registrations will automatically become virtual participants.  (We will be following Shawnee County COVID guidelines.)

We are super excited about the opportunity to network with each of you!  Register now!  For questions, please email Dr. Volora Hanzlicek, KASCD Executive Director, volora.hanzlicek@vfalls338.com.
