Congratulations on your new position! I know you still have a few weeks before you report, but the Kansas School Superintendents’ Association would like to invite you to the 2020 New Superintendents Workshop. Each year KSSA offers this no cost event to support new superintendents along with superintendents new to Kansas with resources to assist you in making a smooth transition into your new role.
As your school year has adjusted, so will this year’s workshop. We are planning to host one, maybe two online sessions in early June prior to you traveling to Topeka on June 11 for a day of in-person collaboration and conversation. We feel confident we can begin to establish the needed relationships and conversations online we know are necessary to support the transition into your new role.
The June 11th session will be held at the KASB and USA-Kansas offices at 1420 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, Kansas 66604. We will be abiding by all health regulations set forth by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the Shawnee County Health Department. We will have facemasks available and hand sanitizer at all tables.
We completely understand you are transitioning into a challenging role during an extremely unusual time in our history, but between KSSA and USA-Kansas we want to assure you we will be here to support you and your school district during this transition and beyond.
